Acclaimed winemakers, celebrated chefs, master sommeliers and noted experts will serve as gastronomic guides, captivating festival goers with educational seminars, enticing tastings and extraordinary dining experiences The resort will become Piazza della Acqua (Plaza of the Water) and will pay homage to Italy (the land of wine) with international delights of food, wine and entertainment. Master Sommeliers will escort guests through the nuances of fine wines, ports, cognacs and sakes from around the world. Each event will feature beautiful displays of fine foods and complementing spirits from these far away lands. On Saturday, the event runs from noon to 4pm, featuring culinary demonstrations and a lamb BBQ. Members of the Carneros Wine Alliance will pour some of the region's famed Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, in addition to Merlot, Syrah and several other varietals now being introduced into the appellation. A sheep herding competition will take place later in the afternoon.Tickets are $75 for adults, free for children 12 and under. Dress casually for a bbq and bring a blanket—and a jacket, Carneros is known for it's windy afternoons. Event Details
